There is no way to build a simple transmitter without a coil, you'd need a PLL and i bet you haven't got a clue on how to adjust one. I'll admit that i don't know either, neither do i have the equipment needed or money to buy it.

Anyway these basic FM transmitters are very unstable no matter what you do to them. The best way is to buy one of those car FM modulators and take it apart, they are PLL-based thus very stable, and have a built-in stereo encoder too. Oh and they cost just $10 and sound quite good for the price. All you have to do is build an FM amplifier, wire it up to the modulator, and connect an antenna. There you go, you have a radio station.

If you just want to listen in your house it's enough to just connect a 1/4 wave antenna to the antenna wires of your modulator.

(Ashwin Pulungan, are you an Indonesian?)
