My Philco D-A Converter Box TB100HH9 keeps crashing, every few minutes. It may load and/or play channels, to just crash at any point. I say "crash" as then you have to turn it off and on again.

Is it junk? I thought maybe because I was using rabbit ears as antenna, but I'm in Houston where there should be 15+ channels down the street. Analog was GREAT here, now we're screwed.

twin-lead or open wire is great for putting in your rubbish bin. I replace the old cable almost 6 days a week. It was good for vhf and was great in it's day but there is a number of reasons why it is not used anymore. If it was better then RG6 then Foxtel would be using it!

I'm in a fringe signal area with all channels on UHF and my Digital TV is Perfect :)

You would think that coax is better, hence the surprise mentioned from Dave.

From the antenna engineering handbook. With 100 ft of wire a twin lead will loose only 3.3 db's compared to coax at 7.1 db's.

@ radiofanatic - you may need to rethink your strategy.
