This analog switch circuit is designed to switch on or off and analog line. it consists of two analog switches in IC form that are controlled by two pushbutton switches. In standby mode the voltage at the control pins of the analog switches is low.
When the ON buttond is activated, this voltage increases exceeding the threshold of ES1 and the analog switch closes. Even if the ON buttond is released, the voltage at the control pin of ES1 remains high and the analog switch remains closed.
This happens because the output of ES1 is connected to its control pin. It therefore latces in the closed position. When the OFF switch is activated, the control pins are connected to the ground and the ES1 opens. This resets the circuit into the standby mode.
In the ON mode, the ES1 controls the ES2 analog switch. The input line is connected or disconnected to the output line through ES2.
