Dimmers, tv antenna and mosquito repellents
May 21st
A good friend of mine (electronics hobbyist) ask me if I want to make a small review about 3 of his sites and I accepted…. There are three different categories:
- lamp dimmer switch reviews, circuits, tips and wiring diagrams
- natural mosquito repellent electronics product reviews, circuits, tips and tricks.
- tv antenna amplifier circuits, tips, reviews and how to choose the perfect antenna amplifier for you tv set.
- burglar alarm systems circuits, tips, advices and reviews about burglar alarm systems.
LED dimmer
May 16th
This simple LED dimmer circuit has 2 transistors, 1 resistor and 2 potentiometers. Typical segment displays LEDs consume around 25 mA for each segment and should be limited to it with resistors. If a six digit display is to be current limited, at least 42 series resistors are needed. To counter the above described problems, the led dimmer circuit it allows for eventual adjustments of the display’s brightness. (more…)

Long range FM transmitter
May 1st
This is very stable, harmonic free, long range fm transmitter circuit which can be used for fm frequencies between 88 and 108 MHz. It has a very stable oscillator because you use LM7809 stabilizer which is a 9V stabilized power supply for T1 transistor and for frequency adjustment that can be achieved by using the 10K linear potentiometer. The output power of this long range rf transmitter is around 1W but can be higher if you use transistors like KT920A, BLX65, BLY81, 2N3553, 2SC1970, 2SC1971… (more…)
Digital tv antenna
May 1st
Do you really need a “digital tv antenna”? Digital TV Antenna is used to receive digital TV signals and is no different from a conventional off-air TV antenna. This is just an ordinary TV antenna that constitutes the front-end of digital TV transmisison system. TV antennas may seem like relics from the last century, but a growing number of viewers are finding them to be indispensable in getting the best picture from their HDTVs.< !– (more…)
