Automatic volume control

The function of this automatic volume control circuit is to amplify signals without distorting its dynamic compression. The amplitude differences in the signal are levelled off and the disturbing effect vanish. With this tehnique, overcompensation in the volume is avoided. The circuit is used to automatically control the volume levels of cassette recorders, audio tape recorders, amplifiers or radio devices.
The AVC circuit works this way: the FET (t1) is used as a variable resistor. The resistance between the drain and source of T1 can be between 150Ω and infinite. It is parallel to R2 and togheter with R3 controls the gain of OP amp A1 (around 20 dB). The following OP amp A2 is

TDA1562Q datasheet

The TDA1562Q is a monolithic integrated 70 W/4 W Bridge-Tied Load (BTL) class-H high efficiency power amplifier in a 17-lead DIL-bent-SIL plastic power package.
The device can be used for car audio systems (e.g. car, radio and boosters) as well as mains fed applications (e.g. midi/mini audio combinations and TV sound).

MAX2606 datasheet

The MAX2605, MAX2606, MAX2607, MAX2608 and MAX2609 are compact, high-performance intermediate-frequency (IF) voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) designed specifically for demanding portable wireless communication systems. They combine monolithic construction with low-noise, low-power operation in a tiny 6-pin SOT23 package.
