TV Antenna Amplifier Circuit
Jan 10th
A very simple and cheap tv antenna amplifier circuit built with BF961 a N–Channel Dual Gate MOS common transistor used for input- and mixer stages especially for FM- and VHF TV-tuners up to 300 MHz. Bellow you have the antenna tv amplifier schematic and here is the BF961 datasheet.
L1 = L2 = 5turns / 0.8mm Ø / 5mm Ø / the second turn from ground. This tv antenna amplifier can be used even as an fm receiver amplifier because it has a wideband amplification, so if you dont use it for the tv set you can receive better your favorite radio stations. (more…)

2.4GHz coaxial antenna
Dec 28th
Some points about 2.4Ghz coaxial cable antenna for routers and Robotics Vehicles: Radio equipment using the license-free 2.4-GHz ISM (industrial/scientific/ edical) band is also rife among robotics fans, just think of what you can do with Bluetooth, wireless cameras, remote control, or even a WLAN client or access point fitted on a robot vehicle! Yagi antenna 3 elementes
Dec 3rd
Yagi antenna can be used at transmission or reception but yagi antennas are more used for transmitters. Yagi antenna or Yagi, is a directional antenna system consisting of an array of a dipole and a reflector and one or more directors. The dipole in the array is driven, and another element, 5% longer, operates as a reflector. This arrangement gives the antenna directionality that a single dipole lacks. The antenna gain is a function of the number of dipole elements : GT = 1.66 * N where N is the number of elements in the Yagi antenna. (more…)
Folded dipole antenna
Nov 17th
Another common place one can see dipoles is as antennas for the FM band – these are folded dipoles. The tips of the antenna are folded back until they almost meet at the feedpoint, such that the antenna comprises one entire wavelength. The main advantage of this arrangement is an improved bandwidth over a standard half-wave dipole. The Length of folded dipole: * La = 145 / freq ( MHz ) Length of coil : * for 75 ohm cable : Lb = La x 0.8 * for 50 ohm cable: Lb = La x 0.66 (more…)
RF Switch with Pin Diode
Aug 30th
This PIN diode rf switch is the ideal antenna switch for VHF and UHF and work with the PIN diodes which are special high frequency switching diodes with very low internal capacitance. The internal resistance of a PIN diode can be remotely variated from 1 to 10.000 Ω by a DC control voltage. The resistance of a PIN diode changes linearly in relation to the current flowing through it. The diode can be used to weaken or totally shut off RF signals and to amplitude modulate a carrier signal. (more…)
Digital tv antenna
May 1st
Do you really need a “digital tv antenna”? Digital TV Antenna is used to receive digital TV signals and is no different from a conventional off-air TV antenna. This is just an ordinary TV antenna that constitutes the front-end of digital TV transmisison system. TV antennas may seem like relics from the last century, but a growing number of viewers are finding them to be indispensable in getting the best picture from their HDTVs.< !– (more…)
