switch circuits
switch circuits - related electronic projects and circuit diagrams (schematics), this helps you finding desired informations and facilitates your site navigation through all articles database.
In every website page you will find a special section (at the beginning or the end) with tags just like this and also different tags associated with the current article.
Tags inter-links stories with the similar content, so if you click on the tag you will find only related and relevant switch content.
Light Sensitive Switch Circuit
Jan 26th
There are a wide range of applications for light sensitive switches: lighting, entrance door, automatic staircase, automatic opening of doors to the action of a ray of light, alarm systems, etc… Many of us are familiar with photosensitive switches made with a single transistor that is controlled by a photoresistor placed between the base and the recharger, depending on what is desired: normal functioning “closed” or normal “open” the switch. (more…)
Ultra sensitive IR Switch
Dec 4th
Here is the circuit of an ultra sensitive IR receiver that can be used to switch on various AC devices through an IR transmitter. It uses the Photo transistor L14F1 to detect IR signals from the transmitter. Photo transistor L14F1 receives the IR signals from the IR transmitter. It is an NPN transistor and its base is exposed to receive light / IR signals. It has an inbuilt lens to focus light on to the semiconductor junction. When T1 receives IR signals, it conducts taking the base of T2 to ground potential. T2 is a PNP transistor so that it More >
Sound Activated Switch
Dec 2nd
With this sound activated switch, control by sound may be very useful, not just on a robot but also for a bit of home automation, for example a sound-activated light responding to a knock on the door or a hand clap. The light will be automatically switched off after a few seconds. An alternative use is burglar protection — if someone wants to open the door or break something the light will come on, suggesting that someone’s at home. (more…)
Halogen Light Switch Circuit
Sep 14th
This halogen light switch circuit works only for dc halogen lamps. Halogen lamps give a good light and have a excellent eficiency.
In this halogen switch circuit we use a FET transistor because the current is dependent of the FET’s gate voltage. The maximum gate voltage is 12V, so this circuit is adequate for 12 volt lamps. (more…)
Dimmers, tv antenna and mosquito repellents
May 21st
A good friend of mine (electronics hobbyist) ask me if I want to make a small review about 3 of his sites and I accepted…. There are three different categories:
- lamp dimmer switch reviews, circuits, tips and wiring diagrams
- natural mosquito repellent electronics product reviews, circuits, tips and tricks.
- tv antenna amplifier circuits, tips, reviews and how to choose the perfect antenna amplifier for you tv set.
- burglar alarm systems circuits, tips, advices and reviews about burglar alarm systems.
Sound activated lights
Apr 25th
This sound activated lights circuit turns a lamp ON for a short duration when the dog barks (or a relatively strong sound) giving an impression that the occupants have been alerted. (more…)
