TDA7560 4 x 50W audio amplifier
Nov 18th
TDA7560 is a 4 x 45W QUAD BRIDGE CAR RADIO AMPLIFIER PLUS HSD. The TDA7560’s inputs are ground-compatible and can stand very high input signals (± 8Vpk) without any performances degradation. If the standard value for the input capacitors (0.1mF) is adopted, the low frequency cut-off will amount to 16 Hz. Read the rest of this 50W car amplifiers circuit (more…)
Portable NiCd battery charger
Oct 2nd
The portable batteries charger has been designed to provide an opportunity to load NiCd batteries even in the outdoors from a 12 V battery of a vehicle. When the circuit is connected to the vehicle battery, D2 lights only if NiCd battery was connected with the correct polarity. Since even on the discarded batteries we have a certain tension, T1 opens and D2 flashes. (more…)
TDA8563Q
Jan 21st
TDA8563Q is produced by Philips in a 13-lead single-in-line (SIL, SIP2) power package. TDA8563Q is a 2 x 40 W/2 Ω stereo BTL car radio power amplifier with diagnostic facility. (more…)
Bicycle rear-light afterglow
Dec 6th
This article is of interest only to readers whose bicycle lights are powered by a dynamo. The laws on bicycle lights in the United Kingdom are stricter than in most other countries and a dynamo is, therefore, a rarity in the UK. (more…)
Siren Driver
Dec 6th
Zetex Semiconductors have a siren driver IC Type ZSD100 available that is suitable for use in alarm systems for cars and model craft. With the addition of only a few components as shown in the diagram, the device produces an ear-splitting sound of 120 dB. (more…)
3 volts Car Adapter
Nov 29th
This 3 volts Car Adapter circuit is based on a standard LT1074CT switching regulator IC. The schematic shows the LT1074CT used as a positive step-down or ‘buck’ converter.
The ‘switcher’ is used to convert a +12-volt car battery voltage down to +3 volts for use with the personal hi-fi’s and handheld games for the author’s two boisterous children on long car journeys. Note at under ten years of age, children will rarely be hi-fi aficionado’s and are generally not concerned with any noise generated by the ‘switcher ‘circuit.
